We have an opportunity that will require you to put your management skills to good use.Specifically, we seek an individual to assist in managing the operations of our store in Upperhutt.
We are on the lookout for a motivated and committed person to join our team in the position of an Assistant Store Manager. You will be responsible for the operation of the store in conjugation with the Manager and will provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities –
Manage cash register and be meticulous in cash handling
Ensure the ready availability of stock
Ensure that the premise is always kept in neat and presentable manner
Manage staff and train them as required
Hiring of new staff
Making roasters of staff
Attend phone calls and resolve any doubts that clients have
Maximize sales by advising customers of ongoing promotions and deals
Ordering proper/ enough stock for the store
Ensure that the work complies with health and safety policy
Must be able to work on weekends and reliable on shift timings
Skills and Experience required:
Degree or Diploma qualification in Business.
Needs to be mature person who can handle responsibilities during shift for store and staff independently.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail sector.
Must have played supervisor or manager role before.
The Candidate must have
Full driving License/ Forklift license will be plus point.
Must pass drug test.
Should pass police verification.
The role will attract a market related salary.
Must be reliable with the shifts timings.
