Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are looking for a trade qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our very busy workshop based in Auckland, Albany.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of this role include:

Ensuring to carry out ongoing vehicle, truck, plant and equipment servicing and preventative maintenance as and when required.
Ensuring to visually inspect all vehicles, trucks, plant and equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Ensuring to order parts as and when required.
Managing the receipts of parts and checking pricing of parts.
Ensuring to maintain and implement ongoing records for servicing and maintenance.
Creating and managing maintenance programs for all the Plant and Equipment of the Company as and when required.
Ensure to oversee any 3rd party repairs as required from time to time.
Maintain all equipment and tools in good working order and repair and store correctly.
What we would need from you:

Qualification with 3 years’ experience (including apprenticeship).
Fitting and welding experience would be advantageous
Demonstrated experience of commercial vehicle including plant and equipment servicing.
Computer literacy.
Hard working, cool under pressure and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy workshop.
Experience with working on Heavy Machinery and Equipment including but not limited to Telehandlers, Laser screeds, Class 2, 4 & 5 trucks, Hiab trucks, Concrete pumps etc.
